Why RUGGEDCOM RST2000 series?

The RUGGEDCOM RST2000 series are field-modular multi-layer Ethernet 19-inch rack switches with 10 Gbps uplinks, support for time synchronization with microsecond accuracy, and optional MACsec encryption and seamless redundancy functionalities. The RUGGEDCOM RST2428P and RST2228P also support Power-over-Ethernet to up to 500 watts.

Certified for mission-critical applications in harsh environments

  • Rugged-rated – Comprehensive set of certifications across electric power, rail, traffic systems, and industrial applications
  • Tested reliably across a wide operating temperature range of -40 °C to +85 °C
  • Zero Packet Loss™ technology under high electromagnetic interference (EMI),
  • Enhanced Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (eRSTP™) for ultra-high-speed network fault recover

Key benefits

Future-proof design

Change modules without removing the chassis from the rack. The design allows you to easily scale network bandwidth from 100Mbps to Gigabit or 10 Gigabit uplinks as your requirements evolve.

Increase network availability

Minimize the risk of downtime in your OT network with seamless redundancy or fast failover. Enjoy microsecond accuracy for critical operations to maintain continuous and reliable communication.

Secure your network

Protect your network from intrusive attacks using MACsec encryption and other security features. Implement access control and network segmentation to maintain data integrity.
