Mcenter operates as the central platform on the shopfloor by combining intuitive user interfaces, seamless machine connectivity, open system integration and a secure, local platform architecture to support a wide range of manufacturing applications.
1) User interfaces
Web applications can be simply called from a PC or tablet web browser. User dialogs that are embedded in the CNC user interface are also provided for tasks at the machines themselves.
2) Machine connection
Mcenter has a state-of-the-art client-server architecture. Machines communicate with the central server via clients, which can be directly integrated into machine control systems or installed on an IPC next to the machine.
3) Open interfaces
Open interfaces based on REST APIs can be used to establish a connection to other systems on the shopfloor like presetting devices. These interfaces also allow connection to existing, higher-level IT systems in the production environment, such as PLM, MES or ERP.
4) Use cases
Functioning as central platform for the entire shopfloor, Mcenter efficiently supports a diverse application range for different use cases, such as tool management, program management, OEE monitoring and data access.
5) Mcenter Plattform
Mcenter is a local platform with state-of-the-art security. It is based on a Windows server installed at the production site. Based on central platform functions (e.g. connectivity, license management, user management, roles and rights, application management), Mcenter helps part manufacturers reduce the complexity of their IT administration.
