March 2026 Release

The March release introduces a host of improvements across the Building X portfolio. Key updates include enhanced multi-site energy management capabilities, simplified cross-application operations and security workflows. Additionally, advancements in data handling, rules management, and system connectivity ensure greater efficiency and reliability building operations.

What’s New in Building X – March 2026 Release

1. SOC 2 Type II Attestation for Building X

Building X now provides a SOC 2 Type II report, providing independent, CPA audited verification that security controls operated effectively throughout the audit period.

Why this matters:

  • Provides trusted, third-party assurance to deliver impartial validation, empowering organizations to strengthen their security y due diligence and make informed procurement decisions
  • Demonstrates readiness for enterprise scale deployments, with security controls consistently proven to function effectively over time, ensuring robust and dependable protection

2. Energy Manager –Standard subscription tier

The release of Energy Manager Standard completes the Energy Manager offering as the second subscription tier, enhancing portfolio-wide energy management with expanded capabilities for multi-site consumption and cost monitoring.

Why this matters:

  • Delivers a single, consistent view across sites to track energy spend, performance, and trends by country, building, or business unit- empowering data-driven decision making
  • Enables the use of scalable KPIs, virtual metering, and rule templates to identify anomalies early and manage energy proactively across portfolios, ensuring operational efficiency

Additional Features:

The update introduces new functionalities to further optimize energy tracking and management:

  • Customizable trend monitoring to align insights with specific operational needs
  • Integration of European energy market data for more accurate analysis
  • In-app and external event notifications, keeping users informed in real-time
  • Weather data integration to correlate energy usage with environmental factors
  • Enhanced connectivity updates and multiple usability improvements for a smoother user experience.

3. Lifecycle Twin – Work Orders Integration

Now, work orders created in Operations Manager can be centrally managed in Lifecycle Twin, enhancing visibility and coordination.

  • Single source of truth for maintenance activities, ensuring all teams are aligned
  • Improved operational workflow for improved efficiency, task prioritization, and seamless cross-team collaboration

Additionally, updates like an enhanced Document Management UX allow for better decision-making and operational efficiency.
