In February 2006, Winergy assembly plant located in Tianjin, the wind energy capital of China, was put into use. More than 1,000 gearboxes have been assembled to maintain the same high quality as all Winergy assembly plants. In order to meet the rapid development of China's wind power market, the second phase of the WDST expansion project has begun and is expected to be put into use in 2010, when the production capacity will be greatly increased.
