Application as a supplier

A future supplier relationship is preceded by an application process that ranges from profiling to an inquiry with a subsequent quality check of the initial delivery.

Your cooperation begins with a fully completed self-disclosure form and continues with the submission of the offer to the first delivery. The self-disclosure initiates the application process and helps to present your organization and its structures and to present your product range. Information obtained at this point is strictly confidential and will of course be handled as such by us.

A supplier profile is created on the basis of a fully completed self-disclosure. The information you provide will be reviewed by our strategic buyers.

If there are any questions about some details, we will contact you and all further steps will be coordinated with you.

If your company profile meets our requirements (qualification process), your company will be placed in the Siemens supplier pyramid (see Supplier Cluster) and you can receive an inquiry about a subset of your application. After reviewing your offer, an initial order is possible from our side.

The information obtained from this process will be included in our preferred supplier database SPNcee (Siemens Procurement Network Central Eastern Europe), which can be accessed by all buyers of Siemens AG Austria.

Here you will find information about access for suppliers.

The development of Siemens Austria into an e-company offers you the opportunity to participate in the company-wide purchasing network faster, easier and more cost-effectively via the "Siemens Procurement Network Central Eastern Europe (SPNcee)". Every purchasing employee can call up this information, carry out inquiries and auctions and subsequently order on a catalog-based basis. These functions support you in further intensifying your business relationships with us and expanding them in a technologically forward-looking way. In addition, you will have the opportunity to present your company and your range of services in detail to the worldwide network of Siemens buyers. Regarding the registration of your company, please contact the buyer responsible for you or Mr. Roland Verdel. As a leading IT company in Austria, we naturally also offer you continuous support in integrating your processes into our purchasing platform (such as the online integration of your online shop).

Our requirements

The Siemens purchasing network SPNA thrives on its high-quality procurement information. Essential content (material structure, preferred suppliers and their contact persons,...) is made available in the system by our specialists in purchasing. In order to be able to provide all this information up-to-date, we need your support.

In particular, the topic of catalogue-based ordering requires the highest quality article data in the form of an electronic catalogue. Currently, more than 35 catalogs are already mapped in the "eCatalog" module. For the catalogues that have already been implemented, the essential preparatory work was carried out by the respective preferred suppliers.

In order to enable correct continuous ordering, an up-to-date price level is absolutely necessary. The exchange and updating of the catalogues takes place in the form of a structured data interface. In order for all Siemens employees to be able to order online from the catalog, this interface must be supplied in turn.

Your benefits

Finding your company in SPNcee has many advantages. All preferred suppliers of Siemens AG Austria are stored in SPNcee in a structured way. The information provided ranges from company profiles, branches, contact persons, purchasing agreements, prices and conditions to the integrated online ordering option via SAP. Every Siemens employee purchasing can access this content, create inquiries and place orders.

The indirect and indirect advantages are obvious:

  • Intensification of customer contact and broadening of business relationships within Siemens Austria
  • Additional advertising potential through multimedia product description options in catalogues
  • Intensification of customer loyalty through medium to long-term supplier partnership
  • Minimization of friction losses in daily communication through clearly defined interfaces (contact persons with telephone, fax, e-mail and online options),
  • Increase in sales through joint design and implementation of the partnership (supplier management)
  • Minimization of mutual clarification effort through up-to-date and transparent information

Address your target group at Siemens directly via SPNcee!

Catalog info

Integration of a supplier catalog In order to be able to quickly integrate your catalogs into SPNcee, there are basically 2 options available:

  • Integration of your existing, OCI-capable Internet catalog
  • Importing catalog data into the Siemens Catalog Tool (eCatalog)

OCI - Capable Internet Catalog The technical parameters of the OCI interface are standardized. You will find a corresponding overview in the downloads. In terms of content, your online shop must be able to display the conditions and prices agreed with Siemens Purchasing.

SPNcee For the second option, you provide us with the data in Datanorm 4.0, BMEcat or in an Excel file that contains your well-structured catalog data. You can find our catalogue requirements in the downloads. Our contact persons will be happy to answer any detailed questions you may have.
