Fuerth Production and Development Site

The Fuerth electronics plant, which specializes in factory automation and industrial switchgear products.

The production site has increased its output per square meter of production space in recent years by implementing Siemens' digitalization and automation solutions. This allows for the efficient, market- and quality-compliant production of constantly changing small batches.

In 2025, the World Economic Forum named the site a Sustainability Lighthouse. Its flagship product, the Totally Integrated Automation Portal (TIA Portal), provides complete access to a production facility's entire digitized automation. At the Digital Experience Lab in Fürth, Siemens offers its customers hands-on experience with digitalization. The site is driving forward future topics such as edge computing and artificial intelligence through internal start-ups.
