Doug Maher is President and CEO of Siemens Financial Services, Inc. (SFS, Inc.), the U.S. financing arm of Siemens Financial Services (SFS), with responsibility for the Americas. He is also CEO of SFS’s Project & Structured Finance Americas business unit, which provides debt financing—including corporate lending, project finance, and structured finance solutions—to clients across the region. Prior to this role, Doug served as Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of SFS, Inc.
Previously, Maher served as CRO of the global Industry and Healthcare Finance business at SFS, evaluating and mitigating financial risk for the company’s transactions in global healthcare and industrial markets.
Maher’s international experience includes a broad range of senior management, underwriting, portfolio, originations, asset management, and deal negotiation positions throughout all phases of risk management across multiple industries.
Maher formerly held the role of the Head of Risk for Corporate and Working Capital Finance at SFS in North America. In this position, he most notably established the leveraged finance business line, including the credit process and standards for underwriting and managing cash flow and asset backed transactions, growing the business significantly.
Prior to joining Siemens in 2008, Maher was Managing Director and Chief Underwriting Officer at Deutsche Bank, where he focused on mid-market lending. Before that, he was Managing Director and Chief Credit Officer of Commercial Finance at CIT in London. Before joining CIT, Maher held various leadership positions within Credit Suisse First Boston and JP Morgan & Co.
Doug holds a BBA and an MBA in public accounting from Pace University’s Lubin School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant and was previously licensed to trade and sell securities, such as bonds.
Paul Nagrowski
Chief Financial Officer, Siemens Financial Services, Inc.
Paul Nagrowski is the CFO of Siemens Financial Services, Inc., the U.S. financial arm of Siemens Financial Services (SFS), and the CFO of SFS’s Project and Structured Finance Americas business unit.
Prior to taking on the role of CFO, he was the VP of Finance for Siemens Industrial Applications in the Americas and was responsible for finance, controlling, IT, and procurement functions, as well as jointly responsible for the overall business strategy. In this role, he successfully executed a new organizational transformation setup and managed tremendous growth despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
While simultaneously completing his Executive MBA in International Leadership and Finance from Friedrich-Alexander University’s School of Business and Economics in Nürnberg, Germany, Nagrowski held the role of Business Unit Controller (Sr. Director to VP) within Siemens’s Large Drives business unit. In this role, he focused on accurate financial reporting and controlling business segments of various sizes and complexities. He directly managed an extended commercial/financial team and successfully oversaw their turnaround projects and industry diversification initiatives away from the Oil & Gas market in an era of extraordinary commodity market volatility.
Nagrowski has worked under the Siemens umbrella in various roles since 2003, when he began as part of both the Siemens Graduate Program and Financial Leadership Development Program.
In his Georgia community, Nagrowski is on the Board of Directors at the TECH Alpharetta, where he is tasked with identifying and pursuing key investment opportunities and policy decisions for the City of Alpharetta.
Maria Levy
Chief Risk Officer, Siemens Financial Services, Inc.
Maria Levy is the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of Siemens Financial Services, Inc. (SFS, Inc.), the U.S. financial arm of Siemens and legal booking entity for SFS’s activities in the Americas.
Levy formerly served as Head of Risk Management for the Corporate Lending business at SFS, Inc., where she oversaw underwriting and portfolio management for a $7 billion portfolio of small and mid-sized sponsored and non-sponsored companies spanning diverse industries.
In this role, Maria has played a pivotal role in building and evolving the leveraged lending business from its inception to a multi-product platform that includes syndicated finance, sponsor finance, as well as subscription and working capital lines. In addition to building out the product lines, the group has expanded geographic reach into Latin America.
Notably, Maria built out the Leveraged Finance risk management platforms in the Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and Asia Australia (AA) regions laying the groundwork for the Corporate Lending businesses in those regions as the Head of Risk Management for the Global Leveraged Finance Group. She joined Siemens in 2008 as a Senior Originator for the newly formed Leveraged Finance Group.
Before joining Siemens, Levy was Vice President at Deutsche Bank, where she served as Senior Underwriter for the Middle Market Lending Group. Before that, she was Portfolio Manager for the Corporate Finance Group at The CIT Group. Levy began her career at Chase Manhattan Bank, where she graduated from their Credit Training Program, which laid the foundation for her expertise in commercial and leveraged lending.
Levy holds a BA in Economics and Leadership Studies from the University of Richmond.
