Siemens Battery Passport

Obsahuje informácie o zložení batérie, výrobe, výkonnosti a environmentálnom vplyve. K týmto údajom je možné pristupovať napríklad prostredníctvom QR kódu, čo prispieva k vyššej transparentnosti a zodpovednosti v batériovom priemysle. Batériové pasy podporujú udržateľné využívanie a recykláciu batérií.

Expansion to additional industries

Further product categories such as textiles, iron and steel, electronics and many others will introduce Digital Product Passport requirements under the Ecodesign framework.

By 2030

Broad rollout across product categories

Digital Product Passport requirements will expand across a wide range of industries, covering most physical products placed on the EU market under the Ecodesign framework.

The Siemens Digital Product Passport (DPP4.0)

Siemens turns Digital Product Passport requirements into a scalable, enterprise-ready solution. The Siemens Digital Product Passport (DPP4.0) platform acts as a central DPP engine that structures and connects product data across systems, partners, and the entire lifecycle. The concept is already proven with concrete implementations such as the Battery Passport and is designed to be directly applied to additional products and industries.

The solution is designed to integrate seamlessly into existing IT landscapes and industrial ecosystems, allowing companies to collect, manage, and share product data across the entire value chain.

To ensure interoperability, scalability, and compliance with emerging regulations, Siemens builds on established industry standards and concepts.

Key capabilities of the Siemens DPP4.0

  • Enabling ongoing compliance
Continuously supports evolving requirements such as ESPR, the EU Battery Regulation and emerging global frameworks
  • Built-in interoperability across the ecosystem
Connects seamlessly with suppliers, customers and regulators through open APIs and standard-based models (e.g. AAS, IDTA)
  • Seamless supply chain integration

Enables structured data exchange across industry ecosystems, including Catena-X and Chem-X

  • Scalable and future-proof architecture
Supports scaling across product categories, from individual components to complex, nested product structures (e.g. Vehicle > Battery > Chemical)
  • Highest standards in software quality and security Aligned with industry-leading standards and certifications for software quality, cybersecurity and data protection
