The basis for the diversified modular system is the frame, available in 90 standard sizes and combinable with more than 2,000 elements, custom cutouts, finishes, dimensions and approvals. The flexible SIVACON 8MF1 system control cabinet can be ordered for self-assembly or pre-assembled. You can use our 3D configurator to create your individual control cabinet.

At your request, we can modify our standard portfolio according to your exact specifications. We offer paint finishes in special or functional colors, customized cutouts, galvanized enclosures, enclosures in special sizes, and elements with a particular sheet metal thickness. You can continue processing your cabinet as soon as it’s delivered, which saves valuable time for machining and painting.

We work together with you to develop enclosures that meet your precise requirements: for example, special dimensions, individual sheet metal fittings, or special approvals. Thermal design with SIMARIS therm

With SIMARIS therm software, you can easily and accurately perform the thermal design of control cabinets. Verify temperature rise and calculate heat dissipation and permissible power loss based on ambient conditions, installed devices, and operating parameters

Devices from the SENTRON, SIRIUS, SIMATIC, SINAMICS, and SITOP portfolios can be added with just a few clicks. The software calculates the actual power loss of each selected device based on the application, including rated current and coincidence factors. A single click generates a complete calculation report with all relevant data and documentation. The results can be used to support compliance verification according to IEC 61439, IEC 60204-1, and IEC 60890.

SIVACON 8MR system air-conditioning

The SIVACON 8MR system air-conditioning ensures that the electrical and electronic devices installed in the cabinet operate fault-free, even under harsh ambient conditions. It prevents condensation and frost damage and protects against the malfunctions that might result. The portfolio ranges from filter fans, cooling devices, and heaters to thermostats. In operating rooms, due to natural convection ventilated system cubicles can be used alternatively to air conditioning.

The different versions of SIVACON 8MF/8MR system lighting offer optimal lighting conditions for installation and maintenance. The LED technology saves energy and prevents the need for maintenance.

Available with recycled-steel enclosures

SIVACON 8MF1 is available with enclosures made from 100% recycled steel, melted in an electric arc furnace that runs on renewable wind energy. This enclosure option gives you another material choice for projects with specific sustainability requirements. It keeps the same system architecture, compatibility, customization options, and performance.

The same material concept is also available for ALPHA DIN rails, which are manufactured using renewable wind energy. Both products fulfill the Siemens EcoTech framework criteria.
