Sustainability Manager – Climate
Sarah has been working in business related environmental management for over 20 years and is a Chartered Environmentalist. She has been with Siemens since 2008 working in environment and sustainability across several Siemens businesses and functions. She is based in the south-west and has a young family to keep her busy when not working.

Retired
I joined Plessey in 1986 and was privileged to have enjoyed a long and successful career with Siemens, working for different operational businesses in various roles & industries and also in the corporate centre. I am a qualified accountant (CIMA) and it now gives me great pleasure to utilise the knowledge and experience gained to support Members of the SBS as the Pensioner Nominated Trustee Director (PNTD), in addition to spending more time in retirement with family and friends and also on my hobbies, which include Walking, Cycling and supporting Pompey FC!

Retired
Following a successful and rewarding career over a period of 40+ years in a diverse range of sectors and organisations, a significant period of which was with Siemens plc (1988-2008), I took early retirement in April 2021. Since retiring, I qualified as a volunteer vaccinator to support my local Covid-19 vaccination program and was appointed as a Trustee on the Board of a local Academy, “The Challenge Academy Trust (TCAT)”.
I look forward to using my experience and skills as a Member Nominated Trustee Director (MNTD) of the Siemens Benefits Scheme, in support of its members.

Qualified accountant (CIMA), Degree in Finance and Accounting and has an MBA from Manchester University.
Nigel has been with Siemens for 20 years working in a variety of commercial, accounting and controlling roles across the country. He lives near Manchester and is married with two young daughters. He enjoys global travel, scuba diving and drone flying.

Head of Finance SI EA
An accountant by trade and has worked for Siemens for 18 years, in a variety of finance and commercial roles across the UK. Currently head of finance for the Electrification and Automation business across Great Britain and Ireland.
Married with twin daughters currently living in Cheshire. Outside of being the family taxi Damien enjoys a wide range of sports particularly football and golf.

Retired
I retired from Siemens in Dec 2018 after 34 years of service. During this time I held a number of senior finance roles including the Finance Director of the Energy Management Division in GB&I.
More recently I've been renovating a Victorian property in Wilmslow where I live. with my wife. We have 4 grown-up children and a new grandchild.
I enjoy several sports such as running, skiing, tennis and the occasional round of golf. My other main hobby is cooking so I spend a lot of time in the kitchen.

Company Director/Consultant
Tim has worked in the Financial Services industry for most of his career, including almost 7 years with Siemens Financial Services where he was Chief Risk Officer Europe, Commercial Finance. His experience ranges from running his own business to holding numerous senior positions, both in the UK and Internationally.
In addition, Tim’s career also extends to working with organisations to improve financial inclusion, which includes a Non-Executive Directorship with Fair Finance based in London. He holds an MBA from the University of Manchester as well as numerous financial services focussed professional qualifications.
Tim’s other activities include fund raising for Cure Leukaemia, where he has completed 5 London to Paris cycle rides and was part of an 18-person team to cycle the whole of the Tour de France route in 2021.

Secretary to the Trustees
Daniel has worked in UK pensions for over 30 years and as well as being an experienced trustee secretary, he has also been a pension scheme trustee in his time which allows him to bring his experience, knowledge and perspective to help the trustee boards he supports.
As well his trustee secretarial work, Daniel is a member of the Pension Scams Industry Group advisory board and technical working group and sit on the Pension Scams Action Group, the multi-agency taskforce dedicated to protecting pensions savers from scams. He is also a founding committee member of O:Pen, the LGBT+ network for the pensions industry and has been named as one of the top 100 gamechangers for LGBT+ diversity, equity and inclusion in the global financial services industry.

✓ Acting prudently, conscientiously and honestly, and with utmost good faith, acting for all classes of members equally.
✓ Taking advice on technical matters and keeping their knowledge and understanding up to date.
✓ Monitoring and reviewing the Scheme's professional advisers and investment managers.
✓ Keeping Trustee business strictly confidential at all times.
Successful Trustee Directors are people who care about the wellbeing of their fellow Scheme members. They are progressive and positively focused individuals who have the ability to see the big picture and have Scheme members’ best interests at heart. They are people with a strong sense of professional commitment who are comfortable with the responsibility and accountability and never act purely in their own self-interest.
Most people over the age of 18 can become Trustee Directors. Applicants need to have their nomination supported by 5 Scheme members. They will be highly motivated and enthusiastic with at least two years’ membership in the Siemens Benefits Scheme.
