NX X Design has four software as-a-service (SaaS) package options. You can select the level of capabilities that meet your needs, and then easily scale up or down with business requirements. An on-premise option is also available.
Additional add-on modules are available with each tier by purchasing tokens for Value-Based Licensing. The tokens allow you to "check out" a module (capability) you need for a specific design, use it as needed, and then check it back in.

Add-on modules are available for all NX X Design users as a flexible, cost-effective way to access over 100 additional capabilities.
With the add-ons, you can configure your implementation of NX X Design to the specific requirements of your project. Access specialized design tools, standard parts applications, design-integrated simulation solutions, programming and customization toolkits, direct translators and more.
Pick and choose the functionality you need, when you need it. Tokens can be purchased in packages of 50 or 100, and are exchanged for use of add-on capability modules — acting as floating licenses.
Access over 100 different NX capability add-ons. Additional modules include mechanical, electrical, process, core and automation capabilities.
Tokens go into a pool that is accessible to all named users. Add-on modules can be checked out by several users at a time, as long as the token allotment does not exceed the fixed amount at any given time.
Select the desired module in NX X Design, then check it out with your tokens. When you exit NX X Design or stop using an add-on, the allotted amount of tokens returns to the total pool.

With master model technology, if you modify the model in one file, the geometry gets updated in the original 3D model sketch and the model used in simulation. This ensures you are always working on the current version of the model.

Translate different CAD formats with point-to-point data exchange. Translation formats include STEP, IGES, JT, DXF, DWG, OBJ, 3D PDF, IFC, 3MF and STL.

This add-on module uses artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to track and learn from your actions. NX Command Prediction predicts the NX commands you will likely use next and presents those commands on a compact, adaptive UI panel.
