Our global data privacy commitment – The Binding Corporate Rules
Protecting personal data is a top priority for all companies within the Siemens group. For this reason, Siemens was one of the first companies within Germany to obtain and implement Binding Corporate Rules (BCR) approved by the data protection authorities of the European Union. Siemens has also obtained and implemented the BCR for the United Kingdom (UK BCR Addendum) which were approved by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Siemens’ BCR certification demonstrates our strong commitment to the protection of personal data whenever it is transferred or accessed globally by Siemens’ companies. Our mission: Siemens Data Privacy Management System
Siemens values the importance of privacy and protecting personal information. To put data privacy into action throughout the Siemens group, we developed and implemented the Siemens Data Privacy Management System. Siemens closely monitors regulatory developments as well as reports, guidance, recommendations and statements of its competent data protection authorities and the European Data Protection Board. If required, we update our Data Privacy Management accordingly.
