SINACON PV inverter

Centerpiece of the photovoltaic balance of plant

The SINACON PV inverter is part of the Medium Voltage inverter station together with the transformer and the Ring Main Unit (RMU) and achieves high energy efficiency. All the components are enclosed in an outdoor housing. A solar PV inverter converts the variable direct current (DC) output of a photovoltaic solar panel into an utility frequency alternating current (AC) that can be fed into a commercial electrical grid or used by a local, off-grid electrical network. The inverter is equipped with 3-level insulated-gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) modules for input voltages of up to DC 1500 V. The integrated DC and AC distribution makes the inverter cost efficient. Standardized interfaces enable an easy plug and play by reducing engineering hours.
