HB3 generator switchgear: with single-phase encapsulation for power plant units up to 400 MW

Especially safe for the power range up to 400 MW: the HB3 generator switchgear

Maximum safety for people and equipment: the HB3 generator switchgear is the world’s first to have a vacuum generator circuit-breaker. For up to 12,500 A with natural cooling and a type-tested switching capacity of up to 100 kA. Thanks to its single-phase encapsulation, short-circuits between the phases are eliminated.

The switchgear can also be smoothly integrated in the generator leads. The phase spacing and diameter of the single-phase, encapsulated IPBs are flexible. The switchgear can also be operated with the overpressure needed for the IPB system.

It ensures high plant availability: the VB1-D generator switchgear is suitable for a power range up to 110 MW.

It has vertical busbars and a truck-type design – and thus safe and cost-efficient power generation. Installation, maintenance and repairs can also be performed quickly and easily, thanks to straightforward technology.

The special solution for power ratings up to 55 MW: the highly integrated generator switchgear (HIGS)

Developed for special requirements: The highly integrated generator switchgear (HIGS), designed specifically for Siemens industrial turbines SGT-600 to SGT-800 as well as for steam turbines SST-400 to SST-600. It can also be adapted for other gas and steam turbines.

With direct connection to the generator, the HIGS combines the conventional generator terminal box with the functionality of a generator switchgear, thus reducing the number of interfaces and saving valuable space.

It is also possible to implement a neutral point treatment and an auxiliary feeder.
