Busbar instead of cables
The modular BD2 busbar trunking system is the universal solution for high performance within a small space, requiring little space yet offering maximum flexibility to adapt to changing production conditions. The system's safe and reliable operating characteristics are convincing features: In case of fire, proven fire barrier and functional endurance ensure a high level of safety and security – an optimum solution for large buildings. The BD2 system scores high marks in industrial applications as well as in shipbuilding.
The compact BD2 busbar trunking system maximises flexibility by offering two sizes in seven different current ratings up to 1,250 A, and with either aluminium or copper conductors. It can be used for power distribution between two supply points, as a riser line in high-rise buildings, or to feed power to the smaller BD01 system. Prefabricated tap-off units with various fittings enable universal application.
The anti-rotation feature and guided installation enhance safety and reliability during system installation. The clamp terminal, which includes a single-bolt terminal, permits simple and quick installation with integrated expansion compensation. Sealable tap-off points protect against unauthorised access. In addition, numerous components are available for up to 1,250 A, and 3D junction units permit changes of direction for a flexible adaptation to the specific building structures.
