Three years. One life-changing experience.

Combining travel with study and work overseas, our exciting three-and-a-half-year program will equip you with the skills and experience you need to build a bright future in Engineering.

For the first three and a half years you’ll be based in cosmopolitan Berlin. We’ll do everything we can to get you settled, from finding your accommodation, to setting up your bank account and teaching you how to speak German. We’ll even fly you home to see your friends and family.

Over the course of the program you’ll learn valuable theory at our Siemens Professional Education Vocational School, then put it into practice at our training center in Berlin. You’ll also have the opportunity to see engineering in action at one of our most productive manufacturing sites.

We’re looking for talented individuals who want to help us shape the future. If you’re interested in pushing yourself and starting your career with a bang, join us.

Which apprenticeship is for you?

If you’re 18 or over, you could join our Apprenticeship Scheme in either Mechatronics or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

Mechatronics combines mechanical engineering with electronics. With this challenging and rewarding apprenticeship you’ll help install and maintain complex machines, facilities and systems – whilst gaining valuable experience in the construction and machine assembly industry.

A typical career in Siemens after your apprenticeship would be in plant automation, installation, commissioning and maintenance of a plant.

Electrical Engineering

Discover the world of electrical power supply, communication, lighting technology, and information technology. Throughout the apprenticeship you’ll assist in the day-to-day running and installation of complex production lines, while helping to manufacture control gears and power supplies.

This apprenticeship prepares you for a career in power transmission and distribution, in the installation and maintenance of complex production lines or in infrastructure projects.

Where are they now?

Our Siemens Apprenticeship Scheme has helped many people kick-start a successful career at Siemens. Hear from our latest alumni who benefited from day one.

Gabriel Vijent

Electrical/Electronics Technician, United Kingdom

“This was too great an opportunity to turn down and I thought it would be a great experience to go to a foreign country to study a passion of mine. I’ve experienced great things being here. A new culture, new language, new school system and way of teaching, and of course new people from all over Europe.”

Hendrik C Meintjies

Mechatronics Technician, South Africa

“Knowing that Siemens is driven by development, I hope to be able to further my knowledge even after my apprenticeship. I aspire to play my part in the ever expanding and developing technology industry and can think of no better platform to do that from than Siemens.”

Yasmeen Abozed

Electrical/Electronics Technician, Egypt

“Our schedule is well-structured to include various activities that double the fun, enhance how we receive information, and most importantly, help us bond with each other and our teachers. In the first few months of my first year of the program, I have experienced a new city, a new language and a whole new culture that is in some ways very different from the one in my home town. But this is the beauty of any new experience.”
