Local Energy Solutions

Siemens experts help customers across all businesses and industrial sectors master today’s three main challenges: cost, security of supply, and reduction of CO2 emissions. Whether it’s about energy efficiency, grid fee reduction, resilience, or saving resources – Siemens provides customer-specific answers. The scope ranges from single products to turnkey projects and even energy-as-a-Service (EaaS). 


An all inclusive local energy solution can be especially attractive from a business perspective due to various reasons (costs, high efficient technique, new sources of revenue). Siemens offers customized financing solutions like e.g. managed services contracts, leasing or hire purchase.

Photovoltaic Solutions

The growing use of distributed power generation from renewable sources is challenging grids in regard to reliability and stability. Siemens answers this challenge with its photovoltaic eBoP solution, a power distribution solution including energy storage capabilities from Fluence. This end-to-end offering ranges from the combiner box right through to the medium- or high-voltage grid connection. The MV-inverter station is the centerpiece, comprising three high-performance components from the Siemens portfolio: inverter, switchgear, and transformer. To optimize energy yields of PV plants, Siemens also provides high precision solar tracking control systems as well as control and monitoring hardware and software solutions.

E-mobility Infrastructure

Intelligent infrastructure solutions are gaining more and more importance, especially when it comes to meeting the growing demand for e-mobility. Siemens’ broad portfolio for the charging infrastructure ensures that the power runs smoothly and efficiently from the generating plant to the charging station. It comprises components and charging management systems as well as end-to-end solutions and consulting services.

Low-voltage Components

In distributed energy systems, buildings, infrastructure facilities, and industrial plants are becoming "prosumers" that act as power consumers, producers and storage at the same time. They play a key role in the context of transforming energy systems and demand a technically adequate power distribution . Siemens provides a complete range of systems and products for low-voltage power distribution in the distributed energy landscape, from standard-compliant protection and switching devices for the protection of electrical systems and fail-safe power distribution to systems for monitoring energy consumption all the way to intelligent charging solutions for e-mobility.
