Siemens & Halske (S&H) is represented by Germann & Co., Zurich and Manila

 

1927

S&H appoints representatives of Künzle & Streif AG to sell its products in the Philippines

 

1959

Machinery and Engineering (Mesma) is appointed to represent S&H and Siemens-Schuckertwerke (SSW)

 

1969

Manila Electric Company’s Gardner II power station goes into operation. Siemens supplies a 300 MW steam turbine set and four other turbine sets with a combined capacity of 1,000 MW

 

1971

Siemens concludes a contract of agency with Engineering Equipment, Inc.

 

1975

Hospitalia, a partly owned subsidiary of Siemens, supplies and installs all of the medical equipment for the cardiac center in Quezon City

 

1979

Siemens concludes a contract of agency with Maschinen & Technik Inc. (MATEC)

 

1980

Siemens supplies eight synchronous generators with a total capacity of 64 MW for two floating power stations near the Philippine island of Cebu

 

1982

A joint venture, Electronic Telephone Systems Industries, Inc. (ETSI), is formed for the production of advanced Siemens communications systems in the Philippines

 

1992

A Regional Company is formed under the name Siemens, Inc., Manila. Two years later, it is transformed into a wholly owned subsidiary of Siemens AG

 

1996

An order is won to build the first combined cycle power plant in the Philippines, in Santa Rita, in the Batangas Province. The plant begins operation in 2000

2003

Inauguration of the same type of combined cycle power plant in San Lorenzo

 

2007

Siemens installs a new signaling system for the light rail line in Manila and wins follow-up contracts for expanding the line capacity

 

2009

Siemens supplies Eagle Cement, a new player in the local cement industry, with innovative plant automation solutions

Siemens, Inc. Philippines appoints its first Asian CEO

Siemens equips Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital (OLLHI) in the Philippines with imaging systems for mammography and digital radiography

Siemens builds the country’s first Hybrid Operating Room in the Philippine Heart Center
