S&H constructs the first power station in Mexico City, thus a public corporation, Mexican Electric Works Ltd. / Compania Mexicana de Electricidad S.A., is founded by S&H and the Dresdner Bank

Siemens-Schuckertwerke (SSW) Mexiko Elektrizitätsgesellschaft mbH Berlin is founded with a regional office in Mexico City

 

1909
SSW Mexiko becomes the representative of Protos Automobile GmbH Berlin

 

1911
Regional offices are opened in Guadalajara and Monterrey

An automobile marketing company, Protos Garage S.A., is founded in Mexico City

The Rio de la Alameda power station and the Quijano y Rivero hydroelectric power plant are built

The Siemens agency is transformed into a public corporation and renamed Siemens Méxicana S.A.

PEMEX awards Siemens the largest order so far received to equip a refinery with process control technology

Siemens delivers two turnkey gas turbine power plants to the state-owned power utility Comision Federal de Electricidad (CFE)

Contract for the extension of Metro Line 2 in Monterrey. After its deliveries for Line 1 (1988) and 2 (1994), Siemens remains the main supplier of electro-mechanical equipment

Siemens delivers the equipment for modernizing the iron and steel works and heavy plate rolling mill for the Mexican steel producer Altos Hornos de Mexico S.A.B. de C.V. (AHMSA) in Monclova

Siemens opens new production facility for high-voltage equipment in Querétaro, Mexico

Minera Mexico awards two contracts for the turnkey construction of the combined cycle power plants La Caridad I and II in Sonora State, Mexico
