Under the Palestine administration the Siemens-Schuckertwerke (SSW) conclude an agency agreement with The Palestine Company Hiram Ltd., Haifa

Siemens Orient S.A. dissolves its sub-office in Jaffa and assigns representation of its interests in the Palestine Region to Wagner Bros. in Jaffa

The companies Inverko and Eisenberg Bros Ltd., both in Tel Aviv, are appointed to represent Siemens & Halske (S&H) respectively SSW in Israel

State power utility Israel Electric Corp. (IEC) in Haifa places an order with Siemens for power system control and protection equipment for the Tel Aviv and Haifa conurbations network

Siemens and the Israeli Orckit Communications Ltd. cooperate in the area of VDSL technology which enables interactive multimedia services via normal telephone lines

2000

Establishment of the newly-found Siemens Israel Ltd. as a Regional Company headquartered in Rosh Ha’ayin

IEC awards Siemens with the delivery of core components for three 360-MW combined cycle power plants (Haifa, Hagit and Gezer)

Israeli Railways places its first order for 87 passenger coaches which includes an option for another 585 cars

Siemens acquires UGS and its Technomatics branch in Israel which is renamed in Siemens Industry Software and operates in AirPort City
