Modern medicine needs modern technology

Although the physicians of the late 19th century were well trained and the entire field of medicine was constantly evolving, there were still technological limitations that precluded the diagnosis and treatment of primarily internal diseases and injuries. There was just no way other than surgery to see what was going on inside patients. Noninvasive imaging methods simply had not yet been invented.

We keep on innovating

Our company has continued its tradition of pioneering breakthroughs in imaging technology: from the Pantix rotating anode tube in 1933 to the photon-counting CT scanner NAEOTOM Alpha in 2021. History is still being written, and we are once again on the threshold of a new era of medical technology.
