Today, the availability of electricity is taken for granted. At first, however, generating and distributing electricity was anything but easy. Early generators and batteries provided far too little electrical power and could not be used on a large scale. Werner von Siemens changed that. With an ingenious invention that made the electrical revolution possible. We all still benefit from it today.
