The TBS integration allows SiPass integrated™ and SIPORT customers to extend their access control platform with the high performing and scalable biometric subsystem from TBS.
TBS offers all biometric modalities: touch fingerprint, touchless fingerscan, hand scan, iris and face recognition. The customer can freely choose the most appropriate reader technology for each access point, while managing biometrics directly from the Siemens platform.

Cardholders are fully managed in the Siemens platform: operators can use the familiar GUI to manage cardholders. The cardholder data is synchronized to the TBS subsystem automatically, allowing to read RFID cards or to enter PIN code on TBS readers.

The two systems share a clear division of tasks: TBS provides true identity of the cardholders (who you are), and the Siemens platform handles access authorization (where and when you have access) and access logs for a full audit trail.

Server to server and server to TBS reader communication channels are encrypted using SSL certificates. Biometric data are stored as hashed digital templates with strong template encryption, which can even be customized for each installation. TBS stores and transmits biometric data securely.

Ready for unlimited scalability

Customers can combine different biometric technologies within the same biometric installation, allowing to select the fitting reader for each door. Multi-site deployments with TBS BIOMANAGER on dedicated servers in the customer network, or hosted in the TBS Cloud.
