Siemens’ AI‑ready data center reference architectures

We deliver simulation-validated power, cooling, automation, and digital twin solutions for scaling AI factories.

Editor’s note: Accelerated computing is driving unprecedented demands in data-center scale, density, and complexity. Siemens is helping to plan, design, build, operate, and scale data centers that are more efficient, resilient, and sustainable. Our approach: smart technology that combines the real and digital worlds.

At NVIDIA GTC 2026 in San Jose, Siemens announced a new set of AI data center reference architectures integrated with NVIDIA Omniverse DSX blueprint, addressing the urgent need for a new generation of infrastructure purpose-built for AI.

As AI workloads scale, data centers are evolving into AI factories—where power, automation, and digital infrastructure must work together seamlessly to deliver performance, efficiency, and resiliency at unprecedented scale. Siemens brings deep industrial expertise to bridge the digital and physical worlds for end-to-end solutions.

Building on its previously announced 100 megawatt hyperscale AI data center blueprint developed with nVent and NVIDIA, Siemens’ next wave of DSX-aligned reference designs is tailored to NVIDIA GPU families and delivered as simulation-ready assets. These designs, including Siemens IEC AI Blueprint for Rubin DSX and Siemens UL AI Blueprint for Rubin DSX, integrate medium- and low-voltage power, automation, and physics-based digital twins into an end-to-end blueprint. By integrating directly into the NVIDIA Omniverse DSX blueprint, Siemens enables extreme codesign at gigawatt scale, dramatically accelerating speed-to-build and providing operators with a clearer, faster path from concept to powered on capacity with predictable, simulation-validated performance.

This approach also delivers long term efficiency and resilience as AI technology roadmaps evolve. Using the NVIDIA DSX framework and Siemens technologies, operators can update key components without invalidating the full system architecture, reducing waste and protecting investments over time. Siemens’ comprehensive power and automation solutions ensure NVIDIA accelerated computing platforms operate at peak potential while minimizing operational inefficiencies. Designed for continuous operation, these AI factory architectures prioritize reliability and uptime through resilient system design, industrial-grade equipment, advanced simulation, and real time monitoring - helping operators mitigate risk, reduce downtime, and safely scale the infrastructure powering the next industrial revolution.

AI Factories must fit real land, real constraints, and real schedules. From the chip…to the rack…to the AI factory…to the grid…every layer matters. Siemens and NVIDIA are engineering the infrastructure for the next generation of DSX AI Factories.
