Grid Software Summit 2026

Hosted by Siemens in collaboration with Alliander, this customer‑centric summit turned shared challenges into actionable progress for the energy transition.

Highlights from the Grid Software Summit

The Grid Software Summit brought together over 350 delegates from 51 countries across five continents, creating a truly global forum to shape the future of grid management. Across every discussion, two realities stood out: the urgent need to expand grid capacity at unprecedented speed while maintaining affordability, and the fact that no organization can meet this challenge alone.

The Summit highlighted the power of collaboration and innovation, from opening the Gridscale X platform to developers to enable a more connected ecosystem, to ushering in a new era of transmission planning with Gridscale XPSS E, where AI and automation accelerate the journey from complexity to insight. Together, the conversations, insights, and announcements marked a clear step forward in building the grids of tomorrow.

The next era of system operations and agentic transmission planning - unlocked

At the Grid Software Summit, we announced the next evolution of our Gridscale X platform, delivering the digital foundation utilities need to manage their grids with greater speed and growing complexity at scale.

We also shared a major milestone in transmission planning, extending the same unified platform and grid model principles with the next generation of PSS E on Gridscale X – unlocking the future of agentic transmission planning. For more than 50 years, PSS E has been widely regarded as the global benchmark for transmission planning. With the introduction of AI‑powered, agentic capabilities and a modern user experience, it now equips planners to master growing complexity, work faster under increasing time pressure, and confidently lead the next era of transmission planning.
