PROFIenergy increases energy efficiency in the automation system. It shuts down the loads during breaks in a controlled manner, thus reducing energy consumption. SIMATIC ET 200SP itself has a lower power loss thanks to its special housing.

The SIMATIC ET 200SP IO-Link Master enables consistent storage of the IO-Link Device and Master parameters. This makes it possible to exchange modules, whether master or device, without a programming device and without backup of the data. With SIMATIC ET 200SP stations, hot swapping is also possible with several modules (Multi Hot Swapping). This allows several modules to be removed and replaced simultaneously during operation.

The SIMATIC ET 200SP shielding concept covers the conductor, the terminal box, the backplane bus, and the PROFINET cable. It ensures the greatest possible electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and increases the signal quality.

With a height of approx. 115 mm, the system provides space for 16 channels with a single-line connection (without AUX terminals). At a 3-wire connection with AUX terminals, the height amounts to 140 mm for 8 channels. The depth amounts to approx. 75 mm.

Two CPU alternatives are available for the particularly compact design: The PC-based Open Controller with Software PLC or Distributed Controller with classic PLC functionality of the S7-1500 family.
