Practice owner Dr Paul John Jones, who is also a dental surgeon and has a special interest in conscious sedation and dental implantology, started with just one practice in Merthyr Tydfil.
He has since expanded to a total of ten practices, providing both NHS and private services in some of Wales’ most picturesque areas, including Chepstow, Abertillery, Brecon, Brynmawr, Ferndale, Radyr, Pontypridd, Rhoose and Gwaelod-y-Garth. Each practice logo pays homage to the local area.
Most recently, Dr Jones refurbished an ageing building in Gwaelod-y-Garth (Pentyrch, Cardiff), transformed with financial support from Vector Leasing and Siemens Financial Services (SFS) for both the refurbishment and specialist dentistry equipment – from dental chairs and microscopes, to X-rays and sterilisers.
The result is a state-of-the-art practice that offers high-quality dental care, including cosmetic treatments, emergency care and routine check-ups.
“Teaming up with Vector and SFS has allowed me to scale much faster than would otherwise have been possible,” says Dr Jones. “The speed of the funding process is especially valuable for equipment acquisitions, enabling each practice to get up and running with minimal delay.
“Each day that a practice is operational is a day of earnings for our small business – but most importantly, it’s a day of patients getting the treatment they need. I’m delighted to be bringing routine and specialist dental services closer to more patients.”
Dr Jones continues to work hands-on across multiple practices, primarily treating anxious patients or those requiring oral surgery or implants. His network of practices also offers mentorship opportunities in implants, sedation, oral surgery and restorative dentistry.
Vector Finance was founded in 2001 and helps professionals in the medical, dental, veterinary, optical and aesthetic industries to access finance, with a specialist team to understand their practice and business goals. Siemens Financial Services offers tailored finance solutions for professional practices designed to help professionals manage cash flow, invest in their business, and achieve their aspirations.
Dave Naden, Area Manager, shares, “Through our partnership with SFS, we can secure funds in a much shorter time frame than with traditional banks, and with fewer constraints too. There’s no need to make an appointment – the whole process is smooth, convenient and can be completed digitally. I cannot overstate the value of this for a speed for a growing business, where each delay means lost revenue. In total, we have financed over £600,000 of dental equipment for Knights Dental Group, and this is no small sum.
