The future is here

Reimagine products. Reinvent manufacturing. Rethink business: industrialize Additive Manufacturing

Use the digital twin to derive unique benefits from the Digital Enterprise Suite.

Comprehensive approach

Create a sustainable competitive edge

The value chain for Additive Manufacturing

Both machine and product manufacturers are in a transitional stage between prototype and low-volume production using individual machines on the one hand and fully industrialized series production on the other. Essential factors here are productivity, process stability, end-to-end data chains, speed, quality, and IT security.

Our Digital Enterprise Suite offers end-to-end solutions for Additive Manufacturing. Only a holistic approach, incorporating the entire value chain, will lead to sustainable competitiveness. Around the world, numerous AM machines are used for industrial applications. With 55 machines, Siemens is a frontrunner in both production and as a service provider.

The Digital Enterprise Suite from Siemens is based on:

- Siemens PL software solutions, including NX™, the integrated CAD/CAM/CAE solution

- Simcenter™ solution portfolio, a robust simulation and testing program

- Teamcenter®, the digital product lifecycle management system

- SIMATIC IT and SIMATIC WinCC, two products from the Siemens Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) portfolio for production

- MindSphere, the cloud-based, open IoT operating system

Close cooperation with mechanical engineers and users in all sectors

Additive Manufacturing Experience Center

Experience the complete SIEMENS Additive Manufacturing portfolio including the seamless chain live

SIEMENS offers an interactive Additive Manufacturing Experience Center (AMEC) in Erlangen (Germany), where the integrated seamless Additive Manufacturing chain and the AM relevant products of SIEMENS are shown. The AM Experience Center provides an excellent overview and insight into different industrial AM technologies and information about the challenging industrial requirements for AM-design, -simulation and -production. Our aim is to provide our customers an overview of the value-add of the seamless digital AM chain.

Experience our software and automation products and services for the end-to-end process at our hands-on Additive Manufacturing Experience Center.

Experience a live presentation of the NX Software CAD/CAM/CAE, including the product design and simulation of production processes and production planning, preparation and verification of the print job.

Experience the Teamcenter® software with its modern, adaptable product lifecycle management (PLM) system solutions as well as a presentation of AM machines for different key AM technologies with automation solutions of SIEMENS AG.

Get an introduction to SIMATIC IT UA DM for the continuous process improvement through the cooperation of manufacturing and engineering. A live presentation of the DED Hybrid machine (DMG Mori LASERTEC 65 3D hybrid) that enables maximum precision and dynamic for the additive process can be seen in the AMEC.

Experience a live presentation of the multi-axis material extrusion Comau robot that is driven by SINUMERIK controller. The printed parts are based on NX CAM outputs. The robot is equipped with a 3D printer head of the company Hage and the live view cabinet is equipped with SIEMENS automation technology.

Experience a presentation and the benefits of the Additive Manufacturing Network, MindSphere access to DMG AM machine and virtual factory planning, which is demonstrated by an example of fabric planning for the printing of a Weiss Spindle.

We show the integrated seamless Additive Manufacturing (AM) chain along a real use case: the live repair of an injection molding tool for a drone, from the design stage via a digital production twin to a real product – everything seamless and digitally integrated.
