The Reyrolle 7SR157 Argus is a combined check and system synchronizing relay. It performs controlled closing of circuit breakers by precisely measuring line and bus voltages.
Uncontrolled circuit breaker closure can lead to operational issues. The Reyrolle 7SR157 prevents closure if differences in phase angle, slip frequency or voltage magnitude fall outside prescribed limits. When parameters are within limits, the relay issues an output to close the circuit breaker for safe and reliable system operation.
