It provides the schematic design capabilities of Xpedition Advanced, including real-time, multi-user schematic design, so additional engineers can contribute to the same schematic while layout and downstream PCB development continue in Xpedition Advanced. 

Xpedition Advanced DS provides schematic design capabilities but does not provide the full PCB layout, performance verification and manufacturing capabilities included with Xpedition Advanced. It is intended for additional schematic contributors who need to work concurrently with users developing the complete PCB design in Xpedition Advanced. 

Yes. Xpedition Advanced DS supports real-time, multi-user (up to three users) concurrent schematic design. Multiple engineers can work on the same schematic in parallel, helping teams increase capacity, reduce handoffs and minimize design bottlenecks. 

Advanced DS is useful when more engineers need to contribute to schematic development than the team wants to equip with full Xpedition Advanced licenses. It provides a practical way to add schematic capacity as projects grow, while reserving full Advanced licenses for users who need layout, verification and manufacturing capabilities. 

Yes. Advanced DS is designed to work within the Xpedition workflow. Additional engineers can contribute to schematics while PCB layout and downstream development continue in Xpedition Advanced, helping teams maintain design continuity across the design process. 

Yes, an Xpedition Advanced DS user can work offline for up to 14-days. Initially, the user must be online to login with their Siemens credentials (username/password) .
