By eliminating the need for physical field wiring, we simplified the installation process and reduced the risk of errors.
We equipped Octalarm with a JavaScript script and leveraged Siemens TIA Portal for programming. This enabled us to create a custom block using Siemens LHTTP libraries, allowing a single bit to trigger alarms within the Octalarm API.
The PLC serves as a single point of truth, eliminating the need for separate alarm lists and ensuring data consistency.
