Siemens’ 8DJH 24 blue GIS is a gas-insulated medium-voltage switchgear for secondary power distribution systems up to 24 kilovolts. It uses Clean Air, an insulating medium that consists of natural elements free of fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-gases), to enable safe, sustainable operations.

The gas-insulated switchgear’s blue switch, a three-position switch-disconnector with a vacuum interrupter in the secondary path, does not produce any toxic decomposition during the switching process. This allows the dielectric strength of the gas to remain constant throughout the entire service life for environmentally friendly disposal at the end of its lifecycle.
