Warum PDL?

The Process Device Library is a cross-industry PLC library. It is used to set up automation and process control systems for areas such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), process industry, life science and food.

PDL was developed for the TIA Portal with S7-1500 and ET200 SP controllers. The enclosed Step 7 library contains all the I&C functions for the process industry and building automation. A connection to energy technology systems is also integrated. The core function is the automatic visualization of the components from the S7 program code. What sounds like a vision of the future has already been developed by our automation experts in Switzerland and Germany. The new Process Device Library not only ensures a standardized “look and feel” but also supports the automated generation of HMI and SCADA solutions.
