The SGT-750 has a track record of proven and verified results after years in operation and several references in both power generation and mechanical drive applications such as pipeline and liquefied natural gas (LNG).

SGT-750 core engine

The SGT-750 gas generator consists of a 13-stage axial air compressor with a rotor built from a number of fully electron-beam-welded disks. The cooled gas generator turbine stator and rotor blades are precision-cast components.
Although the compressor section of the SGT-750 is of conventional horizontally split design, the remaining sections in the unit use single-piece, circular stator components arranged behind each other, thus avoiding any loss of circularity and reducing aerodynamic losses to a minimum. These sections can be removed as modules, which provides for easy access and simple maintenance.

In a  module as carefully designed as the core engine, supporting systems and customized solutions interact to create an entity that delivers secured return on investment.

The modular build-up facilitates swift disassembly and parts replacement, and with a 24-hour engine swap time, downtime can be kept to an absolute minimum.

For combined cycle and cogeneration (combined heat and power - CHP), Siemens offers a broad range of power plant configurations and scopes based on the SGT-800 gas turbine. For combined cycle, 1x1, 2x1, or 3x1 configurations are part of the standardized portfolio.

The turbine is specifically designed for long operating times with extended overhaul intervals, and features easy maintenance, high availability, and outstanding reliability.
With extremely low downtimes for planned overhaul and maintenance work (only 17 days in 17 years), the SGT-750 achieves the highest availability in its performance class.

The 4th generation of Siemens DLE burners offer dual-fuel online switchover capability, increased power turndown range and emission control.
