For nearly ten years, Siemens Refurbished Systems has been refurbishing pre-owned medical equipment, from Angiography through CT, MRI, Molecular Imaging to X-ray. The business unit uses a clearly defined quality process, known as the Proven Excellence Process, to refurbish used products and market them worldwide as ecoline systems. This gives customers access to state of the art technology with tailor made solutions at fair market prices.

The Siemens ecoline program also benefits the environment by extending the economic product life and thereby saving resources in several product life cycle phases (i.e. energy savings at material supply and production compared to new system manufacturing). Thanks to its work, Refurbished Systems helps cut emissions by approximately 20,000 tons of CO₂ each year. The energy savings equal the electricity consumption of approximately 5,400 three-person households per year.
