MAGNETOM Avanto offers a significant reduction in acoustic noise without compromising gradient performance.
MAGNETOM Avanto developed by Siemens is one of the most powerful and environmentally compatible MRI scanners. The system is equipped with Tim® (Total imaging matrix) technology, which has been designed to increase workflow efficiency and patient comfort and is proven by more than 6,000 Tim installations worldwide. MAGNETOM Avanto takes environmental compatibility into account in all phases of the product lifecycle, from material provision and manufacture to use and disposal. Suppliers are involved in the requirements and most of the materials are recycable. 93 % (by weight) can be recycled for material content and 7 % for energy. Packaging accounts for only one percent of the energy consumption. The rest is recycled or reused. All materials that make up the product are determined and documented. All critical substances are removed before the material is reused. Furthermore, the helium consumption was substantially reduced by prolonging the refill interval from one year to over ten years. The MRI scanner is one of the quietest systems in its class. The AudioComfort functionality of MAGNETOM Avanto reduces acoustic noise up to 30 decibel compared to conventional systems, which amounts to a 97 % reduction in sound pressure and increased patient comfort.
