Wherever necessary, we implement safety measures at workstations and design our products so that they do not include or pose a radiation-related health risk. Through our corporate radiation safety office, our Division and Country officers for radiation protection and the radiation protection officers in our business units, plants and facilities, we ensure that the provision of safety measures against radiation forms an integral part of Siemens' proactive risk management.
The provision of safety measures against radiation forms an integral part of our proactive risk management.
The goal of the Dangerous Goods Regulations is our goal, too: to prevent, as far as possible, risks to persons or property as well as damage to the environment, the means of transport used and other goods. By complying with all dangerous goods regulations, we ensure that risks will be eliminated or reduced to an unavoidable minimum. This is guaranteed by a worldwide network of properly trained employees all along the transport chain, which includes the classification of our products, the selection of the transport mode, packing, shipping, and the use of service providers. Dangerous goods regulations are already observed in our procurement and development departments to ensure that our products are transported around the world in compliance with all applicable legal requirements. In this way we demonstrate the value we place, as a global player, on serving our customers also in connection with dangerous goods safely and without delays or complaints.
