Activities and KPIs relating to industrial and product-related environmental protection are regularly included in our corporate reports and other publications.
Every year, we provide information on environmental protection activities and results in our Annual Report. We use environment-related KPIs to demonstrate how environmental protection has developed within the Company.
Environmental protection is one of the mainstays of our sustainability reporting. All important aspects and activities relating to industrial and product-related environmental protection are explained using environment-related KPIs in order to illustrate recent developments. We thus meet the requirements of the United Nations Global Compact, which Siemens has been participating in since 2003.
As far as development of our KPIs is concerned, the reporting principles contained in the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) are an important orientation aid.
