Communication modules

All 222 and higher CPUs are expandable with modules to support connections with PROFIBUS DP or AS-Interface networks. A modem module is available for connections to analog telephone networks for remote access, control, diagnostics, event signaling, and data communications. The SIMATIC S7-200 system portfolio also includes Ethernet communication modules.
