From the end of 2013, two Siemens substations, each with 63 MW of power, are to ensure that in the future all residents and businesses of the innovation city Skolkovo are reliably supplied with electric power. Gas-insulated transmission cables of the latest Siemens generation will be used. They allow large amounts of electric power to be safely transported underground on a low-loss basis – a new development in Russia.
