The Siemens Industry Automation (IA) Division has developed two new fail-safe CPUs for applications in the manufacturing industry. Simatic CPU 414F-3 PN/DP for the Simatic S7-400 Controller has all the functions of the standard CPU 414-3 PN/DP and is suitable – when supplied with 2.8MB of RAM – for safety-related functions in the mid-performance range.
