The Siemens SCC6-5000F Flex-Plant™ 30 is a highly efficient combined cycle plant designed for intermediate to continuous duty that is capable of daily cycling at efficiencies of over 57 percent. New Features for the Flex-Plant™ 30 are emissions of only 2 ppm NOx and <5 ppm CO while load following a 2x1 CC at up to 75 MW/min. It is the first in California to take advantage of "fast-start" gas-turbine technology, making the LEC one of the cleanest and most efficient gas-fired systems in the U.S.A. This cutting-edge technology reduces emissions, allows rapid response to changing market conditions, and enables added investment in intermittent renewable and zero-carbon resources, which will be key in meeting California's ambitious renewable energy and greenhouse gas reduction goals.
