Siemens unveils the first molecular whole-body integrated MR research system Biograph mMR

Siemens Healthcare unveils with the Biograph mMR* the world’s first integrated whole-body molecular MR system with simultaneous data acquisition technology. This revolutionary system comprises a magnetic resonance (MR) scanner and an integrated PET (Positron Emission Tomography) detection system with an architecture that performs as one. The first Biograph mMR system has now been installed at the University Hospital "Klinikum rechts der Isar" of the Munich Technical University, Germany.

Siemens delivers for the first time a Biograph mMR to a private radiology practice

The German private practice MRI, Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT Center Bremen Central ("MRT-, Nuklearmedizin- und PET/CT-Zentrum Bremen Mitte") has commissioned Siemens Healthcare to supply a Biograph mMR. This represents the first use of the system by a private practice for the routine examination of patients.

Siemens' Biograph mMR Establishes Itself - Innovative imaging system receives important FDA clearance.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently granted Siemens Healthcare 510(k) clearance for the Biograph mMR. This clearance indicates that the system has been assessed prior to market placement. Customers can now begin using the new system for routine clinical application.

Siemens receives CE mark for whole-body molecular MR system

Siemens Healthcare announced CE marking for its Biograph mMR system. The CE marking states that the product is assessed before being placed on the market and meets EU safety, clinical benefit and environmental protection requirements.

In a ceremony attended by Bavarian Minister President Horst Seehofer, Siemens presented the university hospital Klinikum rechts der Isar in Munich with the world’s first device that combines magnetic resonance imaging with positron emission tomography.
