It is the largest contract that Siemens has ever won in its more than 160 years of corporate history. Siemens will build up to 300 new ICx long distance trains for Deutsche Bahn in Germany – a deal worth billions of euros. The ICx is the world's most modern and eco-friendly train. From 2016, it will be in revenue service in the DB network and form the backbone of DB main line transportation.
