Whether your assignment will be taking on responsibility in asset, risk or liquidity management, or resolving complex issues in our Financial Statements, Reporting or Controlling units - you can expect 24 intensive and challenging months. You will work in one of the four Siemens Sectors, in Siemens Financial Services or in Corporate Finance, and have ample opportunity to expand your career horizon with challenging assignments in various finance-related functions. Exclusive training modules additionally serve to foster your personal and professional development. Top management mentors and an extensive professional network will provide support in daily challenges and long-term career planning.
Within the Siemens Sectors, you will be able to assume a broad range of tasks in our operative businesses and in central functions at the divisional or sector level. Put your skills to use, for example, in commercial project management, in risk, claim and contract management, or in performance and investment controlling. Deployments in the field of mergers and acquisitions or in the strategic departments of the various business units are also possible.
Your tasks in corporate finance can be varied – ranging from communication with shareholders, investors and financial analysts all the way to the design of financial guidelines. Your assignments can also include the consolidation of our worldwide financial figures within Siemens and the preparation of results for our management reporting unit.
Within Siemens Financial Services you will adopt the customer’s perspective and develop comprehensive financial project agreements. At the same time you will provide advisory services to Siemens and its global customers with regard to project and export financing. Other tasks can include a role within our treasury department or the management of internal capital market activities.
In addition to having you work in international teams and giving you the responsibility for global topics, you will experience the Siemens finance business in another country to provide a deeper global perspective. We support you in finding a challenging assignment abroad that enhances your personal and professional development.
The FEP camp will prepare you for tomorrow’s challenges and highlight the expectations we have of you as a future Siemens executive. You will learn and experiment with methods designed to help you manage yourself and interactions with others more effectively.
As part of an international team you will plan and implement a social project. This requires your project management know-how as well as flexibility and a capacity for empathy.
To further improve your expertise in the field of finance, we provide a case study seminar on “Project Controlling” as well as an individually compiled finance curriculum from our web-based trainings.
An experienced, top management mentor will be assigned to you for support and advice throughout. This partnership will escort you through all the professional and personal challenges of the Finance Excellence Program.
Exclusive events will provide opportunities to get acquainted with top management members – like at the lunch hosted by Siemens CFO Joe Kaeser twice a year for all FEP participants, for instance. FEP associates use these events to get feedback on career issues and gain access to information about the financial situation of the company. Regular networking events with the other FEP participants and alumni furthermore serve to build up a strong connection spanning all sectors and functions in finance.
The FEP was founded in 2008 by Joe Kaeser, Chief Financial Officer of Siemens. He is the leader of the program, and has been personally promoting the FEP together with his leadership team ever since.
You will get feedback after all of the interviews on the same day.
You will receive a permanent employment contract when joining the FEP. This is part of our commitment to your finance career in Siemens.
Siemens will support you with your move to a new destination, regardless of whether you are arriving from a foreign or domestic location. In collaboration with a competent relocation company, assistance is also provided for visa acquisition, resident registration, etc.
Assignments are selected under consideration of each candidate's educational background and prior work experience, thereby guaranteeing the candidate's optimum development.
The FEP is a global program. Your assignments could be in any of the 190 countries in which Siemens currently maintains a presence.
Your performance as a FEP associate is monitored regularly and shared with you. A final evaluation of each associate's professional and personal development is made at the end of the program. The outcome determines which role or initial management position is best for you at the conclusion of the program.
