The Siemens Graduate Program possessed all the aspects of personal and professional development that I have been seeking, an innovative company with strong healthcare products, a challenging two-year program that exposes you to different work environments and job types along with opportunities to learn from lectures, peers and mentors.
The duties and tasks that I need a daily basis go anywhere from completing specification documents, to holding meetings, creating and giving presentations, working with both engineers and service personnel.
Peers can tell how passionate and enthusiastic I am about my job and they are always coming at me with new insights, tips and experience before I even have to ask.
Mentoring is a great opportunity for my mentor to not only give me guidance as I do my work but also to give me the insight that only years and years of experience on the job provide. My mentor/mentee relationship is built on trust and respect.
Networking activities happen after work during SYPN (Siemens Young Professionals Network) events, or during lunch. With SGP alumni who are on different continents, we use telephones and for the SGP in Germany we have video lunches where we share stories and catch up.
SGP is a unique opportunity to find and develop your true professional potential. All the tools you need are provided, it's up to you to make the most out of it.
