Corporate Archives, as the central archives at the Munich headquarters, is guided by a mission to collect and document knowledge of the 165-year history and development of the technology company.
We take in, index and manage important written documents, pictures, films, and products deemed worthy of preservation from the history of Siemens AG and its predecessor companies.
Our extensive records and collections focus on documents from the Supervisory Board, the Managing Board, and the central Corporate Units, as these sources record the most important events, processes, and interrelationships of the company as a whole. The ability to reliably reconstruct historical developments is also important in the context of legal issues.
As experts in the technological, business, and social history of the company, we see ourselves primarily as an internal service provider. In this capacity we support the marketing, communication, and sales activities at Siemens. We also make our information and expertise available to researchers and journalists.
Important note:
Due to renovations at the corporate headquarters in Munich, research activities at Corporate Archives will be severely restricted until further notice.
