J. Lavaud é Hijo, Equipo Eléctrico is appointed as the Siemens agent for Caracas and the states of Miranda and Aragua. The agreement is terminated a year later.

An order is received from the Compania Anónima Teléfonos to supply and install a nationwide telex network.

The order to supply electrical equipment for the largest drinking water system in the world is extended; an order is received to build what will be the largest thermal power plant in Venezuela.

The largest hydroelectric power generator in the world (805 000 kVA) is supplied for the hydroelectric power plant Guri II.

An order for a telephone network is received from the Compania Anonima Nacional de Telefonos.

Siemens receives an order to supply control systems for the Macagua 11 hydroelectric power plant.
