Order to supply a transformer substation for the port and industrial area of Dikhilah near Cairo.

Order from Egypt’s national railway to equip the Nile Delta line near Cairo with state-of-the-art interlocking systems and automatic and centralized control systems.
1987
Siemens Egypt Branch and Siemens Technical Office in Cairo take over agency activities.

Joint venture with Arento and Egyptian Telephone Co. for the building of EWSD systems in Egypt (EGTI).
1996
Founding of the joint venture Egyptian Turbine Co. (ETC) for equipping the Ayoun Moussa power plant near Suez.

Siemens wins major order from Telekom Egypt, the state-owned telecommunications operator in Cairo, to modernize and expand the nation-wide telephone network
2001
The Egyptian steam power plants Sidi Krir and Ayoun Moussa are turned over to the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company
2005
Siemens delivers a turnkey high-voltage switchgear station to connect the El Kureimat power plant to the national power grid
