S&H assigns representation of its interests in the Straits Settlements to Schmidt, Küstermann & Cie in Penang and to Rautenberg, Schmidt & Cie in Singapore
1908
The newly opened Technical Office of Siemens Brothers Dynamo Works Ltd. in Singapore is responsible for the sales of its own products and those of SSW in the Straits Settlements and the Federated Malay States
1924
The representation of S&H and SSW in the Straits Settlements is transferred to the Straits Java Trading Co., which operates offices in Singapore and Penang. Business transactions are handled through Arnold Otto Meyer, Hamburg

Cycle & Carriage Co. Ltd. becomes S&H and SSW’s agent for Malaysia and Singapore for two years.

Malaysia is the first Asian country to purchase a 42 MeV Betatron.

A new agency agreement for Malaysia and Singapore is signed with the firm of Guthrie Waugh.
1973
Guthrie Waugh Berhad represents the two countries separately and is renamed Guthrie Engineering (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. for Malaysia; Siemens builds a semiconductor factory in Malakka (West Malaysia), creating some 1,500 jobs.

A license contract is signed for the manufacture of the masterset 111 portable telephone in Kuala Lumpur
1984
Siemens builds the Connaught gas turbine power plant west of Kuala Lumpur, including the fuel processing plant; the power plant is so designed that it can be expanded for operation as a combined-cycle plant.
1986
Meditel Electronics Sdn. Bhd., in which Siemens AG has a 30% stake, becomes the representative of the Medical Engineering Group in Malaysia.

Siemens Power Generation Asia Pacific (SPG) is founded in Kuala Lumpur to carry out power plant projects in the Region.
